Sidekick is a browser extension that adds optional, user-toggled quality-of-life fixes to Google Search and Google Images and blocks tab-hijacking pop-ups.
Nothing. Sidekick does not collect, store, sell, or transmit any personal data, browsing history, or usage analytics. There are no accounts and no tracking.
Your on/off preference for each feature is saved using Chrome's built-in
storage.sync so your choices persist (and sync across your own
signed-in browsers, via Google). These settings contain only feature
toggles — no browsing data — and are never sent to us.
Sidekick makes no network requests to any server operated by us or anyone else. It only modifies the Google pages you are already viewing, in your browser.
Sidekick requests broad host access only so its pop-up / tab-hijack blocker can run early on every site, and so the optional tracking-parameter cleaner can work site-wide. Page content is never read, stored, or transmitted.
