Coming from Blender

Moritz is Blender underneath. Your files, add-ons and Python scripts work, and Blender tutorials stay usable:

  • Both shortcuts: menus and tooltips show Blender’s key next to Moritz’s where they differ.

  • Blender’s names: set Preferences > Keymap > Names to Blender, or the keymap itself to Blender, to follow a tutorial key for key.

  • F3 search finds every operator under its Blender name as well.

What is different:

  • Settings live in their own folder (see Installing), so Moritz never changes your Blender preferences.

  • The Properties editor is the Command Panel: Create, Modify and Utilities come first, then Blender’s tabs in their usual order.

  • Right-click opens the Quad Menu.

  • Middle mouse always navigates, even with a tool active.

  • Edit Mode has five levels (Vertex, Edge, Border, Polygon, Element) and the Edit Poly modifier lets you edit a mesh in the middle of its modifier stack.

  • Areas dock and stack as tabs by dragging their headers (see Docking and Tabs).
