Outliner¶

The Outliner is Max’s Scene Explorer. Collections are layers; the active collection is the current layer.

Type buttons in the header filter by Geometry, Shapes, Lights, Cameras, Helpers, Bones.
Freeze column (snowflake): frozen objects draw gray and can’t be selected.
Renderable column, See-Through and Display as Box per object.
Double-click selects an object and its children; F2 or Ctrl+click renames.
Right-click: Unhide All, Unfreeze All, Color By Layer (objects take their collection’s color tag).
